Once per year, the Specialized management team throws a pajama breakfast for all the employees. Bruce, Nathan, Brad and Bob dress up in pajamas, take orders and serve the team.
Today was that day.
Being so close to Cinco de Mayo, we celebrated with a fiesta themed breakfast. On the menu were breakfast burritos with chorizo, cinnamon apples and mocktails to name a few. The food was so very tasty and provided by our culture crew.
The very best part of this event, however, was being served by our management team. Each one took special care to serve us with enthusiasm and a smile. They made us feel valued, appreciated and important.
I truly learned a lesson in leadership from today’s event: serve your employees and make them feel valued because the smile on our faces and the increased dedication to the team is invaluable to the company as a whole.
To our management team, thank you! Thank you for making time in your busy schedules to make us feel valued. Thank you for working so hard to provide us all with jobs and a place where we can learn and grow in our careers. And lastly, thank you for building a company culture where we feel like family.
