We’ve all been there: it’s time to replenish our promotional marketing pieces, so we repurchase what we’ve always ordered. But, we never know how long that pen is used, where the stress ball ends up or if those mini Frisbees made it past the parking lot before ending up in the trash. We get it. But what if we told you that we knew how you could make sure that those marketing dollars made an impact? Check out our 3 tips below for choosing items that will last longer in your customer’s hands:
1. Choose an item that complements a smart phone. This trend has been present for years now, but it’s still just as relevant. We find that webcam covers, microphone covers, phone grips and phone wallets stay with your customer much longer than something not attached to their phone. In many cases, you are offering a bit of security or convenience to your customer that they may not have considered before.
2. Choose an item that remains on their desk. No, not a stress ball. Try custom tissue boxes, phone stand/screen cleaner or something for some conference call entertainment. Tissue boxes will end up being used completely at some point, but the affordable price point makes you happy to drop by each month to hand deliver tissues to your client. Lastly, why not give your client a laugh and some entertainment with a desk size Cornhole game to get them through those long calls?
3. Choose an item that makes its way into their home. This is one of the biggest trends we’re seeing in promotional products. Items geared for home use have the longest staying power of all, and you’ll get eyes on your logo every day. We suggest a cutting board, recipe book/tablet stand, Moscow Mule set, cheese board, bar kit or salt & pepper mill. You’ll spend a little more on your promotional items up front, but the return on your investment will be worth it in the long run!
