Q. What types of procurement do you manage?
A. We have resources in most areas of business consumables, including print, promotional products, office supplies, medical supplies, furniture, computer hardware and networking, filing systems and supplies, electronic record keeping, and electronic medical records. We have also completed all types of jobs imaginable. Chances are that there’s not a lot we haven’t seen before! Back to Top
Q. What are the qualifications of your staff?
A. The team at SOS has experience that spans many decades. Each of our Procurement Managers has extensive background in his or her respective industry. In addition, our Office Procurement Consultants average more than 15 years in each market. Back to Top
Q. Are you a printer or a print broker?
A. Neither. Printers are tied to their own machinery and limited by the capacity and size of their equipment. Additionally, a printer places a mark up on paper, mailing, etc. A print broker represents just a few printers (generally between three and five) that also are limited to the above constraints. Both of them are working on their own behalf without the overall emphasis on you, the client. SOS serves as an advocate to our clients and works within our wide network of trusted supplier partners to find out clients the very best services at a great price. Back to Top
Q. What procedures are in place for quality control?
A. We take quality seriously at SOS and have established processes to ensure that the work we generate for our clients is delivered on time and meets or exceeds their expectations. Before enrolling suppliers into our network, we evaluate their quality, equipment, technology, service, and pricing to verify that they will be successful in satisfying our clients’ requirements. We will also involve the clients at key milestones in the production process from confirming receipt of artwork in the proper format to press checks and sign-offs on proofs. Back to Top
Q. How do I know we are getting the best value?
A. We submit each job specification to multiple suppliers, allowing us to identify open capacity, available inventory, and to determine viability for meeting your deadlines. Our system taps into our deep and trusted network of suppliers and leverages the large volumes we buy on behalf of our clients, resulting in economies of scale and significant savings. Additionally, we can always quote to any supplier you request. Back to Top
Q. How would you work with my current procurement staff?
A. Our Procurement Managers can handle both procurement and production management. For some clients, these professionals serve as an extra set of hands during busy periods, For others, they work side-by-side or even on-site. Every relationship we have with our clients is different, so we are flexible in how we make our Procurement Managers available in the way that it makes the most sense. Back to Top
