How many years have you lived in Arizona?
I moved to Arizona in 1984, so I’ve been in Arizona for more than 24 years
When was your start date at S.O.S.?
I’ve grown up in this business. As a child, I would beg my father to bring me to the office to “help” out any break I got from school. I spent all of my time in the warehouse and print shop until I graduated from college when I started working for SOS full time which was in 2000. Since then they don’t let me spend a lot of time in the print shop or warehouse although I do find time every once in a while to drive the forklift unloading shipments and moving products around in the warehouse (which I really enjoy)
What department do you work in at Team S.O.S.?
I am on our executive management team and now am in charge of operations, technology, vision / mission, and strategy. I love what I get to do on a daily basis and really enjoy helping steer the ship to make sure we’re avoiding icebergs while making sure we continue to deliver the best possible customer service, and best value for our clients, many of which have been with us more than 10 years!
List any hobbies or interests you have.
I really enjoy anything that has to do with cars, whether it’s road trips with friends and family, shopping for cars, reading about cars, or just looking at them at a car show. I also really enjoy sports. My favorite teams are the Suns, Diamondbacks, Wildcat Football and Basketball, Sun Devil Football and Basketball (as long as their not playing my wildcats), and I also really enjoy watching professional football.
Provide any other interesting information.
I have an older sister who is a doctor (resident), a younger sister who is an accountant, and a younger brother who is in college at U of Arizona. I also take pride in the environment and do what I can on a personal and professional level to save natural resources and try to live a carbon neutral life at home and at work. I also think it is very important to give back to the community and those who are less fortunate than we are. I am also a member of various professional and social organizations who have the same core values as I posses.
Describe your educational background
I graduated from Horizon High School in Scottsdale, AZ in Spring 1996 and headed south to Tucson for college. I graduated from the University of Arizona with a major in Economics and a minor in Marketing in 2000. After working for SOS for three years I decided that I wanted to pursue my MBA (Masters in Business Administration) from Arizona State University. I graduated from ASU with my MBA in Spring 2005 after an extensive evening program. It was incredibly difficult balancing work, school, and my extra curricular activities, but it was a great experience. I think that education is incredibly important and am grateful to have had the opportunity to attend college and graduate school. Today I continue my learning by reading business and marketing books, participate in training seminars, and use the Internet to learn new skills every day!

I met my wife Lori in Hong Kong. She was visiting an old high school friend in between freshman and sophomore years at UC Berkeley and I lived there. We dated for 3 weeks over Xmas. I sent her 3 dozen roses that same Valentine’s Day and she had to hide them from her boyfriend at the time. We almost never saw each other again but she called me in HK from Calif over a year later just to ask how things were going. We were married 2.5 years later.

Graduated Marblehead (Mass.) High School, 1976, the Bicentennial. Attended Boston University 1977-1981. Originally majored in Pre-med switched to Economics.
